This is an invitation to join the Destination Moosehead Lake Partnership Family
We bring together regional businesses and community members to foster a vibrant, thriving community. By becoming a partner, you’ll help shape the future success of the Moosehead Lake Region, which in turn will help your business grow. Here’s why you won’t want to miss this opportunity:
- The Destination Moosehead Lake Visitor Center is strategically located at the entrance to Greenville for a reason: to welcome visitors as they arrive, and to direct them to the businesses that best meet their needs. It also serves as a vital touchpoint for engaging businesses and supporting the community initiatives within our region that visitors are about to enter. Last year, over 6,000 visitors came to the center.
- You’ll gain access to valuable networking opportunities with fellow business owners and community leaders, fostering meaningful partnerships and collaborations.
- Your business brochures and/or information will be displayed on the Visitor Center racks and shared with visitors. We not only assist people by sharing vacation-related businesses and events, but also by connecting residents who call asking for information about local services. Your name will be on that list and in the mouths of the knowledgeable Visitor Center staff.
- Partners receive timely updates on regional initiatives, grant opportunities, and exclusive events designed to support your business growth and visibility.
- Our region, and therefore your business, will be promoted and often highlighted on:
- Social media, which has a growing following of over 16,000.
- County websites such as The Maine Highlands and The Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce. Those highlights have, in the past, led to coverage by Maine media channels.
- You will have a listing on the Destination Moosehead Lake Website, including an occasional blog post promotion.
- Opportunities to be involved with community events that highlight your business.
- You will have the opportunity to be listed in the Destination Moosehead Lake Regional Guide that is distributed to Chambers across the state and in such places as Bangor International Airport. It is also available online to readers.
Our goal is to build a sustainable region by helping businesses in the Moosehead Lake Region succeed. To create that region, we need a business like yours. Call or email me if you have any questions. We are here for you!

We value Destination Moosehead Lake’s commitment to authentic, fair representation of the region and its businesses. That trust matters, especially in a place like Moosehead, where the strength of the community comes from people who live here, work here, and have built their livelihoods here over time.
I currently own and operate three businesses, all of which have partnerships with DML. For me, partnership is not just a label — it’s built on shared values, mutual respect, and a genuine investment in the long-term health of the community, not simply visibility or optics.
Thank you for the work you do to promote Moosehead in a way that respects both its people and its place.
We choose to be a partner with Destination Moosehead Lake because the organization truly represents the heart, character, and long-term vision of the Moosehead Lake region. DML does an excellent job promoting the area in a way that feels authentic, intentional, and community-focused—not just highlighting accommodations, but the entire experience that makes this destination so special.
As a local business, it’s important to us to align with an organization that actively supports sustainable tourism, local businesses, and responsible growth. Destination Moosehead Lake consistently goes above and beyond in advocating for property owners, lodging providers, and the broader business community, while also keeping the guest experience front and center. The marketing efforts, outreach, and collaborative approach help elevate the entire region rather than just individual businesses, which benefits everyone involved.
We also value the strong communication, professionalism, and dedication of the DML team. It truly feels like a partnership, not just a membership. Knowing that we are working alongside people who care deeply about the Moosehead Lake area, its future, and its reputation makes this partnership incredibly meaningful to us.
We are proud to support Destination Moosehead Lake and grateful for the work you do to showcase this region and strengthen our local tourism community
When we owned Moosehead Hills Cabins we found that the DML was our #1 referring website. We also received many bookings from walk in traffic from the DML. There is really no other entity focused on marketing businesses and events in the Moosehead area. So it is vital for us to support the DML because of everything they do to promote Moosehead Lake—-the website; social media; travel and tourism associations, sites and publications; conferences; events, etc.
We have retired from our business, but still own Loon Lodge. We have continued to maintain our membership with and support of the DML because we feel it is the best way to showcase Moosehead Lake and attract visitors and long term residents to our area.
