There’s a buzz going around about Moosehead Outdoor Alliance impressive new Zone 2 Mountain Bike trails. For good reason, this new set of trails is killer!

Here is our take on a fun way to experience our new mountain bike scene.

We popped into Northwoods Outfitters, an incredible resource for rentals, outdoor gear and supplies to rent some of their new E-Bikes.

They set us up with some wonderful new trek bikes and we headed for the trails. I must say an E bike makes the going up hill aspect a breeze! Just a quick ride down Pritham avenue and a left on depot street led us to our trail access. That’s right, these trails start right outside our downtown! On the left side of the road is access to the Zone 1 trails we covered a little while back. The Zone 1 offerings have less elevation and the grades are rated for beginner to intermediate. It’s a great place to have some fun and warm up for zone 2.

The access to Zone 2 is on the right side of the road. Zone 2 hosts a lot more elevation change and has more technical offerings.

We opted to use the boot legger trail to climb and try downhill runs like Night Train, Blast pipe and then a run down bootlegger as it is a 2 way trail. We were all highly impressed. These trails are so much fun, the words fast and flowy come to mind, with many neat features, drops and jumps. A 2 wheeled adventurers ultimate playground that I plan to visit time and time again!

After a few laps we biked right over to Kelly’s Landing for dinner and drinks on the lake. After that then headed over to StressFree Moose Pub/Cafe for their music on Mondays.

Come Rent an E Bike and add exploring these news trails to your vacation plans.
