The Town Of Kokadjo

The Town of Kokadjo is a great jumping off point for many of Maine’s best outdoor activities, such as fishing, hunting, Moose watching, ATVing and more. Catch a Brook Trout (or a “Brookie”, as locals refer to it!), a Landlocked Salmon, Lake Trout, Splake, or a White Fish in Little Roach Pond.
Fishing in Kokadjo
The Roach River begins in Kokadjo at the outlet dam on First Roach Pond. You can catch brook trout, landlocked salmon, and lake trout on the Roach River. The Roach River is a fly catching destination. Please note that the Roach River is CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY. The river runs 6 1/2 Miles to Spencer Bay on Moosehead Lake.

Looking to go for a hunt? Kokadjo is a great area for moose, deer, bear and grouse hunting.
Bird Watcher? The Kokadjo area features alpine, arboreal, and wetland birds. Look for spruce grouse, bald eagles, loons, and other forest songbirds amongst our wildlands.
