The second of 8 dam releases on the Dead River this season.
Spring runoff will have the river flowing at an amazing 6,000 cubic feet per second OR MORE, depending on snow melt! This is one of the BIGGEST possible water releases on the Dead River — if you can’t make this, check out: May 28th and October 7th for 6,000+, or September 3rd for 5,500!
The Dead River has more continuous whitewater than any other river in the East – class III to IV+ whitewater from below Grand Falls to the confluence of the Kennebec and Dead Rivers.
