The 6th of 8 dam releases on the Dead River this season. Summer rainfall is piled up for the first fall release of 5,500 CFS on Sunday of Labor Day Weekend- you won’t want to miss this fun weekend! The Dead River has more continuous whitewater than any other river in the East – class III to IV+ whitewater from below Grand Falls to the confluence of the Kennebec and Dead Rivers.
After an awesome day on the river enjoy a grilled lunch back at Northern Outdoors Adventure Resort with steak, chicken, salmon, or veggie burger. Don’t forget to grab a beer from Kennebec River Brewery before enjoying the slideshow and video of your trip!
After that, the night is yours- soak in the hot tub, play some deck games, or just chill in the lodge with tunes, food, and fresh beer.
