The 7th of 8 dam releases on the Dead River this season. Rafting on the Dead always provides unparalleled action with continuous whitewater of varying intensity from below Grand Falls to the confluence of the Kennebec and Dead Rivers. This scheduled release is 3,500 CFS. If you’ve never rafted the Dead River and want to try it at a less intimidating level, this is your day. Rapids range from class II-III+, with surfing opportunities and incredible scenery.
High Adventure Sport Rafts (smaller, livelier) are standard on Dead River Summer Flow Trips.
