Piscataquis County Soil & Water Conservation District (PCSWCD) will be hosting our 5th annual Chainsaw Safety Workshop. Traditionally, this course has been for women only, but this year, we are opening it to all! We heard your requests and are answering the call!
This is a 2-day training that will be held at PCSWCD’s Williamsburg Forest, Williamsburg, ME on Saturday, September 30th, and Sunday, October 1st, from 9 AM-4 PM.
This is hands-on training, so all PPE – chaps, boots (steel toe recommended), gloves, head, ear, and eye protection (forestry helmet) – are needed, along with a chainsaw. The topic covered will include saw maintenance, operation, basic cuts, and felling. This course is capped at 8 participants, so early registration is recommended.
