| History by the Lake: The Allagash—New England’s Wild River Thursday, September 10 | 4:00 – 5:00 PM Center for Moosehead History | FreeJoin Maine author, humorist, and retired ranger Tim Caverly for a program exploring the Allagash Wilderness Waterway and the northern Maine woods. Drawing on his 32-year career with the Maine Department of Conservation, including eighteen years supervising the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, Tim will share stories of Native American archaeology, forgotten logging history, wildlife, river travel, and the people and places he came to know. The presentation includes music, historic and scenic photographs, and stories from Tim’s books. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
