There’s something wonderfully refreshing about putting down our phones and picking up a game instead. Here at Turning Page Farm, we’ve been expanding our collection of ways to have old-fashioned fun together.

Our beer garden now features an exciting new addition – hatchet throwing! It’s joined our lineup of classic yard games including cornhole, ladder ball, and bean bag toss. For those who prefer tabletop action, we’ve got classic card games like Skip-Bo and Uno, plus the timeless strategy of cribbage.

Starting this month, we’re officially dubbing every Sunday from 3-6 PM as “Unplug Time” – a dedicated window for families to step away from screens and into genuine connection. Bring your loved ones for an afternoon of board games, conversation, and the kind of laughter that only happens when you’re truly present with each other.

There’s solid research backing up what we instinctively know: face-to-face social interactions reduce the risk of depression and improve mental health in ways that digital communication simply cannot replace. Studies show that regular in-person socializing leads to better psychological health and life satisfaction.
