This three-day course is designed to prepare individuals for the Recreational Maine Guide examination. Participants will develop the knowledge and skills needed to guide with confidence and professionalism.
The timing of this course is intentional to give all participants the chance to be in the State’s testing process prior to the 2026 summer season!
“Specialized Recreational classification means that a person has met the qualifications to guide watercraft, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiling and camping activities. This classification also qualifies a person to guide watercraft including paddlesports on inland waters as defined in DIFW Rule 24.02 E.”
An optional Wilderness and Remote First Aid course is also available for participants on February 15th and 16th.
Early registration is recommended as space is limited.
