NASA 2026 International Observe the Moon Night@ Moosehead Lake Sky Watch Observatory
DETAILS
Join in NASA’s 2026 International Observe the Moon Night! Moosehead Lake Sky Watch at Far Reach Observatories is an official event site this year. We’ll be observing the Moon, learning about its craters, mountains, seas, ridges, rills, and more. We’ll also use the big scope to observe a few galaxies and fascinating objects within our own galaxy.
Our programs offer fun tours of astronomical wonders using advanced telescopes and tools to significantly enhance your experience. You may have some favorite objects that you’d love to see live — bring your list! Maybe someone has registered a star in your name — let’s look at it! We’ll show you how to point out any image or visible objects, and we can send you a copy of the image. We’re sure you will learn something new about our universe and the joy of stargazing under Moosehead Nights!
