Moosehead Caring for Kids Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support and business infrastructure resources to sustain and expand quality childcare services, as well as educational and recreational programs for children in the Greenville, Maine area and surrounding communities mooseheadcaringforkidsfoundation.org+1. The foundation collaborates with local schools, childcare providers, and community organizations to enhance opportunities for children’s growth and development Cause IQ.
Key Projects and Impact
The foundation has funded numerous initiatives, including:
- YES Project: A major construction project to build a new childcare center and recreation facility on Greenville school grounds, accommodating 64 children, a preschool classroom, therapy space, and age-appropriate playgrounds. The project also includes a shared kitchen, education classroom, and fitness center. Fundraising efforts have raised over $3 million through grants, community donations, and events, with additional funds needed to complete the project.
