AMC Maine Woods Initiative Night sky adventure stay for seniors at Medawisla Lodge and Cabins

Join us for a 3 nights getaway in the middle of Maine at AMC’s Medawisla Lodge and Cabins in the Maine Woods Initiative area geared to seniors but open to all. We have timed our stay to take advantage of dark skies to enjoy a sky full of stars without having to stay up late. Whether you enjoy easier trails in the woods, climbing mountains, off road biking or paddling, you can find something to do here. However, you can also just enjoy sitting on the porch at the lodge or down at the lake. Bring your own kayak or canoe or use one available there.

We are holding the Meadow Bunkhouse with 16 bunk beds, a 2 bedroom cabin with 1 queen and 2 twins, and a 2 bedroom cabin with private facilities with 1 queen, 1 double and 1 twin (held until August 1). Before you register, please contact Michelle Moody to get price information in case there are any price changes. Price for the bunkhouse as of 7/16/2025 was $238.71 per person member price including tax based on extended stay for 3 nights. Prices are not guaranteed until booked. Cabin prices will vary based on how many share a cabin. All meals are included from dinner our first night to a packed lunch on the last day. We will also have an appetizer get together each evening if enough folks are booked for a group.
